Founded in April 2003, Cocho Group has built its reputation through hands-on construction experience and a commitment to getting projects completed the right way.

Based in South Florida, we have worked across government, school board, commercial, multifamily, and warehouse projects, as both a general contractor and a licensed roofing contractor, coordinating with owners, public organizations, subcontractors, architects, consultants, and vendors to execute construction projects.

As the company grows, our focus remains simple: deliver dependable construction services while building relationships that extend beyond a single project.

Ivan J Gonzalez

Founder / President

Ivan J Gonzalez founded Cocho, Inc. (now operating as Cocho Group) in April 2003 and serves as its president. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering, a B.S. in Environmental Design, and a Master of Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University (1979–1985). He also later earned an MBA from the University of Houston (1991). His career includes serving as a manager at Law Engineering and chief engineer at Ryder System, along with management roles at Miami-Dade County Public Schools and other prominent construction corporations. He established Cocho Group to work directly with clients, applying his technical and management experience to each project. His approach centers on quality over quantity, clear communication, honest feedback, and alignment with each client’s goals.
